Hi, I'm Samantha Hernandez, AP, Dipl. OM, a Nationally Board Certified Licensed Acupuncturist and the owner of Rooted Acupuncture & Wellness. I believe everyone deserves access to quality care, so in addition to my own practice, I treat patients at The Wellness Lounge at Natural Primary Care in Sarasota, FL, a community acupuncture clinic dedicated to making acupuncture affordable for everyone.
I grew up in Miami and have called Florida home my whole life. I began my education at Hillsborough College in Tampa, where I earned my Associate of Arts. From there I went on to East West College of Natural Medicine in Sarasota, earning a Master of Science in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine and a Bachelor of Professional Health Science. I graduated summa cum laude, with highest honors, from both schools and received East West's Academic Award.
Since then, I've continued to expand my training. I received my Facial Rejuvenation and Medical Microneedling Certification with master cosmetic acupuncture teacher Michelle Gellis, and I'm extensively trained in the foundational systems of Dr. Tan's Balance Method Acupuncture, which I use to treat both acute and chronic pain.
My goal is simple: to help you truly get better. That means taking the time to look at the whole picture and getting to the root of the problem, not just easing the symptoms. I treat every patient as a whole person, and I'm here to support you every step of the way. Making a real difference in my patients' lives is what drives me. Along with acupuncture, I use cupping, moxibustion, tui na massage, ear seeds, and Chinese herbal medicine to help your body heal and find balance.
With offices in Nokomis and Sarasota, I proudly serve patients throughout the area, including Venice, North Port, and Punta Gorda. Whether you're dealing with pain, stress, or trouble sleeping, or you simply want to feel your best, I'd love to help you on your path to wellness.
